About Ice Cream Cakes and Logs
An ice cream cake solves a specific problem: a summer birthday where a sponge cake wilts and nobody wants to light candles on something warm. It is also the standard choice for a child who has decided, firmly and without appeal, that regular cake is boring.
Frozen logs are the same idea sized for a table rather than a party — dessert for a Friday night in August, or the end of a meal in a house with no freezer space for a whole cake.
