To a hospital room, send what survives a counter with no fridge and no vase: a fruit platter, a nosh box, faux flowers that will not need water for the fortnight the patient is there. To a house, send food — because in the weeks after an illness the cooking is the part nobody has.
Kashrut matters more than usual here: hospital patients often eat only under specific supervision, and each store's is shown on its page. Set the delivery date at checkout so it does not arrive on the day of a procedure, and keep the card short.
