About Shalom Zachor Platters and Gifts
A shalom zachor is the first Friday night after a baby boy is born, and it is the least planned event in the whole sequence. The baby may be two days old, the mother may still be in hospital, and the house fills with people who arrive after their own seuda expecting something to pick at.
