About Custom Cakes and Decorated Cookies
A custom cake is the difference between a gift that is nice and a gift that is obviously for one specific person. Bakeries here decorate to order — a name, an age, a school theme, a mazal tov, colours to match a bas mitzvah — and it is what people send when they cannot be at the party themselves.
Decorated cookies do the same job at a different scale: a box of them for a classroom, a tray with the birthday child's name for a party, alef-beis cookies for an upsherin. Because everything is made rather than picked, order further ahead than you would for a standard cake — the delivery dates offered at checkout already reflect what each bakery can take on.
What people usually send
- A cake with the birthday child's name and age
- Decorated cookies for a classroom or a party bag
- Themed cookies for a bar mitzvah or bas mitzvah
- Alef-beis cookies for an upsherin
